Tudor manufacturing for other brands? And Jocke needs a buffet and Elvis weekend!
thought about this today.
since swatch is now licensing asian eta factories to asseble movements for other brands and not selling to some direct swiss competitors, would you think less of tudor if tudor went after that market and started selling blank ebauche's to other swiss makes in need of movements? i think it would be fine if it helped keep costs down on tudor and allowed for even more development. rolex supplied panerai long ago and zenith supplied rolex and so forth so what do you think? the rolex CEO was also zenith's CEO and using tudor and not rolex calibres wouldn't really expose rolex's best movements or technical a-game to competitors anyway. and, the Vegas crew and TS's need to offer up a Tudor 'Tick' sweepstakes to get Jocke to Vegas. $25 per entry. Blue 'Tick' banner. yes/no? |
