Vintage Lover's Top Ten List of why "You might have a problem"

Springer's Top Ten List of - reasons why you “might have a problem” because you love vintage Rolex

10 - You know there might be a problem when you can’t convince the wife that the price of vintage Submariner costs more than a new Submariner.

9 - You know there might be a problem when your recently acquired $50,000 vintage Daytona is worn out in public for month-after-month but never acknowledged by anyone.

8 - You know there might be a problem when you realize that you paid more for a stainless steel Rolex versus a comparable model that is 18K and stainless steel.

7 - You know there might be a problem when you realize that you paid an extra $5,000 for a watch because a couple of the words on the dial had red lettering versus an identical watch with white lettering.

6 - You know there might be a problem if you sit around in the easy chair at night looping the lugs of your newly acquired GMT-MASTER.

5 - You know there might be a problem when you consistently buy old, beat-up watches that “might” be unpolished.

4 - You know there might be a problem when you realize that you have purchased more vintage watches than you can wear in two lifetimes.

3 - You know there might be a problem when you can’t decide whether yellow patina or eggshell patina is for you.

2 - You know there might be a problem when you have to convince others that vintage watches are great investments.

. . . and the #1 reason that you might have a problem because you love vintage Rolex….

1 - You know there might be a problem when you realize you are without a life because you sit around at night worrying about whether the date wheel in your newly acquired vintage Rolex is original or not.

What is your top ten list?
