FS: Vintage Rolex SS/14k Datejust 1601 VG-Exc Condition

Up for sale is this Vintage Rolex Datejust 1601 Non Quick Set in Very Good to Excellent Condition. The date code on the case back indicates production in the 3rd Quarter 1966, Serial Number 1,429,427. The case is in Excellent Condition for its age. There are no major dings or scratches. The crystal has a few light marks near the cyclops, but is great shape otherwise. The dial is original and still has all the lume dots intact. It is in great shape with no staining or scratches. The hands are in Very Good condition with a few light marks, but not excessive. The lume is intact on the hands. The strap is brand new handmade out of vintage leather. The buckle came with the watch, but I suspect it is aftermarket.

I took this watch as part of a trade deal and I do not know the service history, but it is in proper working order and keeping time. I only had to do a light cleanup. It does not have box or papers.
