Just playing with my Sea Dweller (nothing on TV tonight).

How is the "diver extension link" supposed to work on my Fliplock bracelet?

I can see that by pressing where the 'O' is stamped into the link, it hinges up and releases this part of the strap from the bracelet. But, at this point, is the strap actually longer than when it's clicked back in?

Just pondering!! Like to know how things work.....
