True strap mania -- I bought a Pam strap and I don't even own a Pam!
Hopefully this is not as stupid as it may sound at first blush.
I'm getting a 183 G Black Seal in mid-July. I promised my wife I wouldn't buy it until we get back from Belize in case something goes terribly wrong, like our possessions are stolen, a revolution breaks out, or--worst of all--a shark bites off my left hand up past my wrist. So I plunked down some "earnest money" with the seller, then went online and ordered up a vintage strap which should go nicely with my vintage watch. Hey, I promised I wouldn't buy the watch but nothing was said about a strap. The 183 has pretty much everything I wanted in my next watch: pre-owned (let someone else take the depreciation hit for a change), cool name, interesting history, large easy to read black dial, good lume, no cyclops or date, manual wind and a crystal caseback so I can admire the Pan-embellished ETA ticking away in there. Life is sweet.
