Oyster Flex/YM case integration or lack of

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, with traveling sometimes I miss points and entire discussions.

Has anyone been bothered by this? Just curious (not to insult the owners, clearly it did not bother them and I do not want to trash talk) why they didn't either make end links or a curved Rubber B/Everest style end which in my opinion would have looked proper.

very rarely does something throw me like this did.
