What an education on 1680 Sub today

I took my 1680 Sub into the Rolex Dealer today for their complete inspection and offer to buy. The guy offered $600.... but said it needed a band which I knew was seeing it's last days. They quoted me $1450 out the door for a new band. He also said the bezel was a replacement and the acrylic crystal was a replacement.....but otherwise was not a fake and said he wanted to get me some certificate of whatever from Rolex..? Anyway, I refused the offer and will get a Rolex band later. He tried to steer me into a new Rolex and wanted to at least take this one on trade.

So I'm not letting it go and will get another band later or see if I can find a better priced alternative.
