Problem at the gas station
I called at a gas station today and as I'm getting my fuel I noticed a young lad filling his car rather carelessly. He managed to spill petrol on the side of his car, on the forecourt and then I saw some splash on his arm. When finished, he got in the car and his girlfriend jumped out and went to pay. To my horror, I saw the lad about to light a cigarette! I tried to shout a warning but I was too late to stop him. His sleeve caught fire and in a panic, he wound the window down and started shaking his arm trying to put the flames out. Next thing I knew, a police car came screaming onto the forecourt and the cops jumped out, dragged the lad from the car by his ear and they then put the fire out. They then handcuffed the lad and then bundled him into the back of the police car. Thoroughly intrigued, I asked why they were arresting him and the arresting officer said "illegal possession of a firearm"
