Finally an INCOMING
After a few months of soul searching, asking advice from a number of veteran TRFers (you guys know who you are and I can’t thank you enough for all your advice) mind changing, searching on line, looking in person, trying on than re-trying on, I finally made a decision. It arrived the other day and I love it! Why a DD II vs a DD 40, you’re asking yourself? Here’s why: I started pursuing a 40. I have probably tried 20 or more of them on. They’re gorgeous, but they just didn’t seem to fit my 7.5' wrist right. I considered Everose and white gold, but I just couldn’t find the right watch/dial combination that sang to me . I liked the wrist feel, size, sportier appearance and dial combinations of the DD II, but I was afraid it would depreciate fast since it has been “replaced”. I even started a thread a couple months ago asking TRFers opinions on that subject. Historically, I’m a flipper, so that’s a consideration. The more I looked, the more I liked the II’s and realized that they were becoming much harder to find, AD’s had one here and there, or were out completely, and trusted sellers had a piece or two, but not many. I spoke, in detail, with a couple trusted sellers whose opinions I respect and found that both felt the II’s were going to hold steady, so that’s when I decided to go for it. I respect the improvements of the DD 40 and may get one someday, but for now, this was the right choice for me. Now, what’s next? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
