Smart Watches...Tag is in, will Rolex join?!?

I was reading an article today in which Tag is preparing to launch a smart watch (http://techcrunch.com/2015/11/09/tag...#.3ijlaqm:9FHt).

Until recently, the smart watches have been reserved to the "tech" field (i.e. Apple, Samsung, etc.), but we are now seeing this trend progress to the timepiece arena. So, as timepieces and swiss watch companies evolve, who do you think will join and who will remain true to their roots? Will there ever be a Daytona with steps, calories burned, and distance disguised in the sub-dials? Does this strategy broaden the audience swiss watches need in order to remain competitive or is this an attempt by a swiss watch company to acquiesce to a trend?

Thoughts?
