New Panerai PAM 572

I just purchased a brand new Radiomir 1940 45mm PAM 572 with the newer Automatic mechanical movement, P.4000 calibre, executed entirely by Panerai, 13 lignes, 3.95 mm thick, 31 jewels, Glucydur balance, 28,800 alternations/hour. KIF Parechoc anti-shock device. Power reserve 3 days, two barrels. 203 components.

The movement features the Off - centered oscillating weight micro- rotor design which makes the movement much slimmer. This design is similar to the distinctive micro-rotors inside many of the Patek Philippe automatic movements

I synced the watch, which also has the seconds hacking feature, with NIST Standard Government Time over 10 days ago. I just re-checked the watch and am very happy to report that is is within less than 1 second of the current SYNC time !!!!

I wear the watch every day and rest it in the crown up position at night. I have not wound the watch since I re-set the time to daylight savings time on November 1st. I think that is pretty good performance. The lume is also incredible, I can now get rid of my nightlight!!
