Icon7 Should I service my 14 yr old Explorer II? (pic included)

I have an unpolished 16570 polar K ref. (circa 2001) that I purchased on TRF. Keeping great time and was pressure tested before I got it.

I would like to get it serviced by RSC, but will they polish it and relume it; therefore, lowering it's value down the road?

Getting it back like new from RSC would be awesome, but I don't know how I feel about it not being original then. I know its major speculation, but I think this watch will increase in value long term, and I don't want to destroy that.
