Buying 16610LN need help / advice....
First post on the forum, been lurking for years. My 40th birthday is in 10 days and my wife has suprised me with "I want to get you that watch you have been wanting for 6 yrs". Yay
She had to tell me ahead of time because she knew she would need my help to tell her just what I wanted and how to acquire it. I have weighed all purchasing options over the years that I have been obsessing(including TRF trusted sellers ), tried on everything I like at stores (new and pre-owned),etc. etc. I have concluded the route I am most comfortable with for various personal reasons is Bob's Watches or Bernard Watch for my 16610LN Box and Papers. Both dealers offer a three day return policy. Here is the question: If it is coming from Bob's or Bernards do I need to have it authenticated by my local Rolex AD? If so is there enough time to do that and have it returned in 3 days? (Don't know how long AD would need it for). When a jeweller authenticates a watch do they verify the movement as part of the process? Any other "do's or don'ts" as my wife and I embark on this? Thanks for your input, God willing I will be offically joining the club in 10 days!!! |
