Rubber B on Explorer I 39MM

Hey Guys!

I have been looking to purchase a Rubber B band for my watch. However, it seems that I can not figure out about one "problem". Since the 214270 has the newer clasp, it does not have the spring bar holes on the sides of the clasp. I figured that removing the SS bracelet and installing the Rubber B band should not be a big problem.

The "problem" is how could I remove the Rubber B strap when there are no spring bar holes on the clasp. Since Rubber B has a tight fit with the sides of the strap, should I just jam my spring bar removal tool in?
