Question About Twinlock Crown on GMT 16710

I just took delivery of a mint condition Y serial 16710 from a reputable jeweler in Houston. It is absolutely beautiful and came with full box and papers, hang tags, etc. All serial #'s match and all looks to be well.....UNTIL.....I noticed that the crown is missing the line beneath the Rolex emblem that I understand should appear on all SS twinlock crowns. What could be the explanation for this? Cause for concern?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
