DateJust breaking speed records

First time poster but a long time lurker....

I have a vintage DateJust (circa 1962) that I have owned and worn for 25+ years.

I just got it back from Rolex at Christmas as it had quit running. First time ever. The watch has been regularly serviced ever since I became its owner. I had taken it off to do some mechanical work, tossed it in my toolbox and later forgot where I had placed it and recovered it about 5 days later. It had stopped, so I wound it but it would only go for a minute or two and stop....off to Rolex it went.....

Fast forward to last week....The watch has performed flawlessly since Christmas. I put it in my bureau last Friday after work and again did not put it on until Monday am....I wound it, set the time, adjusted the date and went about my business.....glanced at it later and noticed that time was flying, ....it had added 15 minutes ever hour....

i let it run down and rewound it,,,same thing....right here now its moving 15 seconds per minute fast....It's going back to Rolex but bummed that that both events seem to be related...and wondering if others have had the same issues

sorry for the long post
