Another Franken-tudor?
I am new to this forum and new to the 7928 in general. But in my short weeks of free-time study ...I gather that the 7928, together with perhaps the 7016, are one of the more faked or regularly Frankensteined Tudor references out there.
I stumbled over this and wanted to get your thoughts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Tudor-S...8AAOSwQgpXAYEj I don't see this as an outright fake, but the hands – especially the seconds hand over the chapter ring, raised a flag for me. Love to have your thoughts. More generally, if anyone had the time to help either point to a really good reference book or website for both the 7928 and 7016, I'd really appreciate it. This is a very elusive reference,...understanding which combination of dial and hands has been used across references is proving difficult. |
