Question About Buying From AD

If it matters, this is in reference to Wempe (and my first purchase). I found the watch I want and just out of curiosity, do they typically hold an inventory in the back or are the display models typically all they carry at a given time? While I suspect this varies widely on the popularity of the watch, among other things, I figure I'd ask.

This is mainly because If I do go tomorrow, I do not want to buy the display model because I see all the smudge marks all over it and while yes, I know they can clean it off, I guess it's an anal retentive thing? I would just want the watch I am paying thousands for to be literally brand new, untouched except by its creators. Not any random people who came in to touch it and mess with it, and for all I know its been banged around a bit while being handled.


Anyway...just thought I'd ask.
