Of the 349 Patek Philippe ref. 2499 manufactured between 1950 and 1985, just about 120 belonged to the third series. These were sold between 1960 and 1978, which makes this example one of the very last ones produced, considered the average production consisted of about 9 per year, actually even less for the 3rd series. Few watches in the watch world make a statement of style, importance and prestige like this legendary Patek Philippe model. The fact that this watch has never appeared in a public sale adds extra value to what has proved up to this date to be one of the best watch investments of all times.
