Bought another Rolex, and this is your fault!
A couple of weeks ago I posted my new Rolex YM II with a little story about how I ended up buying the yellow gold model despite the negative opinions lots of people have about that watch.
Well, you guys showed great support and all comments were very positive, which made me want to spend more time here at the Forums and learn more about Rolex watches. I was in Tokyo last week, and out of curiosity I searched the forums to see if anyone had posted anything about buying a Rolex in Tokyo. There were a few suggestions about stores so I decided to "go look". I was looking for "The Hulk", I really want one, but apparently the 116610LV is ridiculously popular in Japan. I found a couple but they were all above the MSRP, I could get one from my local dealer for cheaper, so I decided to pass on that. I did find another one that I thought about buying a few years ago due to the history of the watch and my profession. I'm an engineer, so the Rolex Milgauss has been in my mind since I learned about it. I found it new at Jack Road in Nakano for roughly $6,500. Date of June 3, 2016 with a 5 year warranty, box, papers, etc...brand new watch. I couldn't pass it. So now I own a beautiful Milgauss thanks to you, awesome community! Here are some pictures of the Milgauss "Z Blue" dial with the green tinted sapphire crystal, next to a couple of tools that engineers depend on heavily. Learn more about the Milgauss here: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/rolex-mi...16400gv-watch/ P.S. I'm still looking for a good deal on "The Hulk"...it's going to happen. |
