Do you wish you had never gotten rid of...
Any possession that you wish you hadn't sold? Why?
Mine hits me often these days: Selling my 1972 Violin. It was a nice instrument and one I had played for several years when I was a kid. I hauled it around through adulthood, through several moves. Finally sold it to a music store for $50 about 10 years ago. The same music store now sells similar models for $1,300. My old one would qualify as vintage now and would have the richer tone aquired over the years. When I sold it I didn't think I would ever want to have kids. Now I have three. They would have had fun playing on it, and maybe one of them would have gotten serious with it. Shame. My husband has a big regret, too: Selling his old black S.G. guitar. He still moans about it - or says, "don't remind me!" |
