Well it's been three months......

And to say I'm hooked is an understatement. I'd never really paid much attention to watches, not really sure why, I can appreciate nice things but never really wore watches. I guess a lot of that comes from working my way up in the restaurant industry, that environment isn't kind to watches. Now that I type it out, guess it kind of makes sense. Now that I'm older and wiser and don't work(or own) an restaurants maybe that's why I'm into watches now.

A good friend of mine sent me some links to a couple of watches listed on this forum, I started browsing, and when I realized a Rolex doesn't actually have a battery(just to give you an idea of my interest in watches) and it was on. Emailed a couple of TS on here, DavidSW was fantastic to work with, and I had a package on its way.

Mittens doing his inspection. (Sorry if the photos don't resize, look huge in the preview. )

I went with a hulk a milgauss. My buddy was more of a dressy kinda guy, wears suits a lot. I don't, never have, hopefully never will have to. The hulk just spoke to me because while I liked the classic look of the sub I just wanted something a little different. My buddy said I was off my rocker, who would want a green watch? Now that I have it he is a believer.

All is well in the world right? Nope. Got asked to do a presentation for an investment group, so needed a suit. Found that my hulk and milgauss are a little tall for suits, so went with my buddy to try on a DJ. Ended up getting one from my local AD, but didn't care for the jubile bracelet. Looks too "fancy" for me. But no fear, letting my buddy wear it for the time being, thinking I'll give it a try in a month or so, see if it grows on me.

And sadly already put a deposit on the new Daytona with a white dial. I thought I was good with two. Then three. Now four. I can see how some of you end up with a whole cabinet full of them!

Thanks for the many informative posts, I hope to be able to add my own insight to some of you, I do get to travel a bit for work and come across strange foods and cigars so hopefully can add to this site on my own!
