Any recommendation for a noob?
So I thought I wanted an Air King 14010.
It turns out the 34mm is just a bit too small for me. I looked at the Oyster Perpetual, both 36mm and 39mm, but I really want the black dial, and I'm not really fond of the silver or grey. Does anyone have any recommendations on what model I should look for that may match my dream watch? These are the things that are important to me, after trying on a few watches at the local AD: 36mm Black Dial No date - or, if there is a date, no cyclops. I'm just not a fan of the bubble. Sticks, no Arabic numerals (the Explorer is close, but I'd prefer lines for every hour, instead of the 3/6/9) Simple hands, I'd prefer not to have the Mercedes-type symbol on the end I'm not a fan of the colored dots on the markers, like the blue or green, I like the classic look, just black and silver. I really don't have a preference on the band, except that it's metal. Same with bezel, no preference. I know, it sounds very picky and maybe it turns out Rolex isn't the brand for me, but the Air King was perfect except for the size. Just wondering if maybe there was something else out there that I haven't seen yet, that matches the above? or maybe an older model? Thanks everyone! |
