Several people have suggested to check the seals annually. Why is that? Why would Rolex offer a warranty for 5 years if the watch needed annual checks?
How much is it to get the seals checked and where can it get done? My experience with the local ADs has been miserable, they don't seem to do anything in house and they're all eager to charge $150 to send the watch to an RSC. Whether I can "afford" this has nothing to do with it, it seems like a ripoff. Over 10 years: - $150 shipping, let's say $100 for the "seal check"; 10x = $2500 - $900 5 year check up, twice = $1800 That $8k watch suddenly became a $12.3k watch. No. I think I'll just wear my watches and send them in when something doesn't work |
