GMT Master Service
My GMT Master needs service - it's been years and definitely needs cleaning (losing 10' per day - if it keeps running at all). Called the dealer where I purchased by GMT Master N16700 Pepsi in 1996, who I trust. They are no longer an AD, but do send out Rolex watches to and "independent certified Rolex repair shop," the name of which he wouldn't give to me (likely to get his cut). I believe they were using this same shop years ago when I had the watch serviced, and they did a nice job with it. But, since he wouldn't give me the name, who knows? Cost is $600 for full service. Should I go this route - or take it to an AD (there is a Tudor Shop in King of Prussia mall or Govberg jewelers near Philly who are ADs) to ship it to NY or Dallas to a known Rolex authorized service center? I love this watch and want the work done right. Appreciate opinions from you!
