Tudor blue 9411/0 restoration step 1 complete
Well, I bought this watch from a really nice guy out in eastern Canada. A real gentleman and good seller
The watch was completely doa, not ticking and a mess. The dial was unblemished. So after three months and a lot of money, it runs within cosc spec. The crystal replaced. New Rolex trip lock crown added. New spring, balance and a few others. The hands were repaired and matched perfectly to the dial. My watchmaker is a true artisan. I jest, the hands are a mess, so I need to search for these. The crown is a new Rolex model crown and it seems a bit fatter and sits oddly in there. I have the old one and may have to revert back to the original. I slapped on an old 62510h with the 50's from an old gmt. the 550 end links fit perfectly The date wheel is really really white. Something I may never get used to. |
