1655 T-swiss-T allignment
the second rolex i ever tried to buy was a 1655 - four years ago - outbid, overwhelmed by the subtleties... so I gave up.
after a few years, they have once again hooked me. I have researched endlessly - seven different dials, five bezels...serial number appropriate, ad nauseum. apparently a very heavily faked model - not sure why - but i don't argue with those who have come before me. Anyway, the prices are a bit ugly - but i stumbled upon this one - that looks quite fine, but the alignment of the T-swiss-T does not seem correct. I was assured that the watch is legit - has been regularly serviced... but i have never seen a T-swiss-T centering where the T between 5 and 6 is more to the left of the minute hash closest to the 30 minute position. I then checked on half a dozen non 1655 T-swiss-T models i own - and all the same. Have I stumbled upon a lovely, but none-the-less redial - or am I just paranoid?? (yes, the orange hand is a replacement - more about the dial) thanks d |
