My new plain leather strap didn't cost $1,400
Straps can add up to quite a bit of $$$, some of the fantastic croc straps can be as high as $280. But if you want a vintage pre-vendome OEM panerai leather strap it can set you back as much as $1,400 on the used market. "Wow"
Anyway, I wanted a suede strap for sometime and I found a bargain for $60. The strap is 24x24mm with a sewn in brushed steel buckle. The strap came with a little rough stone for getting marks off the strap and refinishing the suede. All in all an excellent package and it came from the other side of the world in less than a week for just a few $ in postage. The first photo is the most true colour of the strap. For some reason the colour changed when I took the photo of the buckle. You really need to feel how smooth this suede strap is to appreciate it. I will follow up with a photo of it on the watch, I'm hoping it will look dynamite
