Advice sought for "dressier," more "grown up" Rolex(?)
I've been reading and studying this forum, and I've learned quite a lot about Rolexes. I currently own a 116610 LN which I've tremendously enjoyed for several years.
Presently, I am in the market for a second Rolex to celebrate an upcoming milestone in my life, and here is my dilemna. I am an attorney who works in an upscale metro area with high-paying clients, and I often wear a nice suit and tie. (Think Naples, FL, or Beverly Hills, CA). When I'm not wearing a suit to Court or meetings, I dress business casual. I am in my late 30's, and my perception (right or wrong) is that I am approaching the point in my life where my Sub C -- while amazing -- should not be my "go to" everyday business/lawyer watch. I truly love my Sub C, and I enjoy wearing it with casual outfits, on weekends, to the beach, etc., but I think that I should get a "more dressy" Rolex that makes a bit more of a statement, especially as I am approaching the big 40, i.e. officially a "grown up." My Sub C goes great with a suit, and I will still occasionally wear it; however, I want to get a new primary Rolex that is more "suit"able for my environment. So, which Rolex "dressier" and/or "grown up" watch would go best for my professional life? Obviously, my Sub C will remain and always be very special as my first Rolex, and it also commemorates a previous milestone in my life. I am open to a SS or a two-tone model, but probably not PM because it's not financially viable at this stage in my life/career. (One day, I hope to pick up a DD but not for at least 10 years.) Looking forward to your collective comments. Thanks in advance! |
