Rolex catalogue, is paper out of date?
I remember when I purchased my first Rolex, I had a catalogue (of course paper, back in those days there was no internet, as a matter of fact it might have been on parchment), I read it and looked at the pictures 84 times, enthralled each one. I am considering on purchasing the new DJ 41, waiting for Basel next year to see if it (hopefully) is released in SS. Anyway I got hold of a Rolex catalogue, with the new DJ41 (TT) and of course all the other models. It was a very nice publication, great pictures and explanations, but I found it kind of.... archaic (?) Hard to explain, but I feel looking at the Rolex website and other internet sources much more interesting and exciting.
Is Rolex behind the times still producing a paper catalogue? Does it still do the job it's supposed to of presenting models and features? Or would they be better off simply using 100% electronic media? |
