Daytona and Submariner Ceramic

Hi – My first post! Having read quite a few posts it seems a friendly forum!

I love Rolex and have had a number over the years (and have just purchased the wife a replacement (SH) datejust for Christmas.

I know very little about watches or Rolexes and am finding this site fascinating.
I like the way many of you seem to 'flip' your watches regularly. The trouble with that for me is - I nearly always lose money!

I presently own a Daytona (which I bought s/h) and really like it, but within 18 months I have put loads of tiny scratches on the bezel and it drives me crazy - so I fancy swapping for a watch with a ceramic bezel.

I have my name down for the new model at the AD but they reckon 10 years wait! It probably won’t be anything like that, but who knows. I don’t think I can bring myself to pay the 50%ish premium to jump the que so I am considering a new Submariner.

If I shop around are there likely to be ADs in the UK that have them in stock or a short waiting lists? – or do I again need to look at second hand?
