Received...! Omas!

I just received yesterday a couple of my Omas "A" listers!

1. The Omas D-Day. This FP is just lovely! But... to begin with I have to pause for a minute and say one of the amazing facts of this fountain is its box / first aid kit! In all my years of collecting I have never owned a fountain pen from any company that screams "QUALITY" as much as this one does! It has to weigh 1/4 of a pound and it is my understanding that it is an accurate reproduction of the med-kit that our US soldiers went into battle with as standard issue on June 6th 1944. Truly amazing that any pen company would go to the trouble to produce packaging such as this! It is unique to my experience. Only 5300 of them were produced which represents the number of ships that crossed the English channel on that day.

The D-Day fountain pen itself is such a joy! I really relish the color scheme. Army green, gold, and aluminum. Simple and elegant! Even when trying to understate a pen Omas can't help but shine through with its quality!

2. And then as whipped cream on top I also received an Omas Bibliothèque Nationale! A beautiful ivory and gold specimen of Omas' work.

I am such a sucker for Ivory and Gold! I relish this combination and before it is over I plan to have the Omas Bibliothèque Nationale, Conway Stewart Ivory, the Parker Ivorine, and several others that are on my front list like the Sailor Ivory Profit.

Omas Bibliothèque Nationale

For comparison:

Conway Stewart Ivory: (Acquired)

Parker Ivorine:

Sailor Ivory Profit:

Again, I have to thank Jim Richardson! He has made it possible for this acquisition to take place! What a great member of this forum! He has vast knowledge that he is ever willing to share and he always puts the benefit of his fellow collectors above himself!

Thank you again Jim! You are deeply appreciated! Genuinely!
