AD called about Daytono...advice...
So last week my local Rolex Dealer called to see if I was interested in a Milguass, I wasn't and said to please call me when you have a SS Daytona. I've bought two from this dealer within the past two years and figured my chances of getting a Daytona SS are slim. The first one I bought was the Explorer II, second was the LV Submariner. This morning she called offering me a SS Daytona. Of course I pulled out the AMEX rambled off the number, she said it’d be in Wednesday. I still feel like its surreal and I’ll believe it when I see it. However, I don’t really have the $9900 laying around to spend on a watch. But, for the past 12 years, I’ve wanted a Rolex Daytona. I can pay for it out of my personal savings which is not much more than double the cost of the watch. I’m thinking of selling at least one of the others. I really like the LV Sub…don’t want to part with it. The Explorer II is not worth as much as the Sub and my girlfriend bought it for me. I think I can convince her to let me sell it though. I also have a 1966 Oyster perpetual…probably bring in $1000-$1500. Ideally I should find a way to make MORE money this year, but I don’t see my income going up 10K in the next few weeks. What would you do?
Thanks,
