Kids Say the Darnedist Things

Mrs. BC was pressed into duty as a substitute pre-school teacher this week and one of the activities involved the kids sitting around in a circle while she held up pictures of various animals and asking them to identify them by name.

After running through images of monkeys, elephants and whatnot, the last picture was of a deer which for some reason baffled the youngsters. Following a brief period of silence, Mrs. BC decided to offer them a hint by asking "Now what does your mother call your father when he is in an affectionate mood?"

All of a sudden, this little girl jumped up and raising her hand exclaimed "I know, I know. A horny bastard!".
