New to the forum. My Day-Date 40 and Yacht Master 40 and some questions

Hi guys new to the forum. Got my day-date 40 last year and just picked up a Yacht Master 40 from a local AD. Got an amazing deal for a AD basically a few hundred more than the lowest grey market so figured why not pay the slight premium for a fully authorized model and the fact that I saved on the sizing fee .

In regards to glow on the yacht master dial how much light does it need to fully
'charge up' to get it to really glow bright? It seems like if I keep the watch in a dark room and then reintroduce it to some light its hard to get it to glow afterwards. It just seems very dim unless it has been in a lot of light for a while. Is that normal?
