There are plenty of people (a lot on this forum too, actually) who buy a high end item and end up not being happy with it, and return it to buy another that they like better, and take a big loss. You seem to be the recipient of such an item, someone else took the loss and you have the gain.
I can't afford that watch at this time, new or used, but if I were in a position that I could easily afford a new one, I would only go new. I went new from AD for a 20th anniversary gift for a Rolex for my wife, from AD, even though I could buy the same from someone here for a couple of grand less. The AD experience (for my wife) and absolute peace of mind, and knowing she is the only person in the world who wore that watch, was worth the extra money for me. Now since then we have bought a few used watches from trusted sellers here (my sister in law, etc.) and are very happy with the purchase as well, and the savings always put a smile on my face. What I am saying is that your situation, and your feelings, are only yours and you can truly determine what fits you best. The watch (from what you have described) seems like a steal of a deal and with stickers on it, you seem to have landed a like new watch at a big discount. If the big discount is not enough *for you* to feel comfortable with the whole thing, then take the loss and fix the situation. If you are satisfied with authenticity (RSC or what not confirming all for you), you can keep the watch for a few weeks and see how you feel about it. Chances are, you will bond with it and will start smiling when you think of the money you saved!
