This mentality always fascinates me. I've read pretty much every post about the SD43 (and been part of most of the discussions since I'm a huge fan already) and I contend the vast majority of people give this watch a . Yes there are going to be the haters (always are) and there are aspects that people don't like, but from my weeks of reading comments about the watch on TRF, I would say in general it has one of the strongest followings I've seen of a completely redesigned/new watch.

I clearly remember when the DSSD originally came out how there was a LOT more haters and that was a pretty clear cut 50/50 (if not 60/40) haters to lovers split. I don't think the new SD43 is even close...the vast majority actually dig it. After the initial few days of "WHYYYYYY does a SD have a Cyclops?????" died down, it appears to have a pretty strong reception.

Cyclops and slightly bigger case aside...there's no denying the sleeker, better proportioned lugs, upgraded bracelet & 3235 movement are hard to scoff at...regardless of if you are planning on buying it or not, I think it's hard to deny it's a good looking watch. That wasn't the case when the DSSD came out & I think THEN TRF members weren't representing the general public opinion too well.
