Incoming - Happiness in a Milgauss ref 116400GV, G-serial
The Milgauss isn't for everyone...but it is definitely for me.
Wanted to take a moment to share my latest acquisition courtesy of the fine people at Watches24Seven. The Milgauss ref 116400GV. But not just ANY 116400GV... it's a G-serial! I know it's old news that even watches of the same reference can and do have a range of subtle dial variations. But perhaps the most in-your-face example of this is the Milguass G-serials vs everything else. It tends to show up in the G-serials that the spacing of the letters in "OYSTER PERPETUAL" are much more spread out compared to the others examples. The T in Oyster is under the R in Rolex and the T in Perpetual is under the X in Rolex. And for me I just had to have this version for some reason. The first two pics are mine. The last one is an example of one that has the letters of "OYSTER PERPETUAL" much closer together. Once you notice the difference you won't be able to not notice it. Interestingly enough I noticed that rolex.com shows the more spaced-out version, but good luck finding that variation new in the ADs. Which version to you guys prefer? (Or am I the only one who notices?!) |
