Rolex and a Guy Named Joe
Not the movie,
I should probably rename the thread a gentleman named Joe. A few days ago, I got a PM from our pal Bubba saying he has something funny to send me, can he have my address. I gave it to him but figured a package was gonna show up containing something rubbery, purple and 12 inches long!!!!!!!!! I get home from work today and there is a Fed Ex package waiting for me from someplace called Atlanta, Georgia!!!!!!! Inside was the following.... (Excuse the blurry pics, the light was crap) The stand is truly beautiful and I'm holding out until I get my vintage 1957 Oyster Date back from Tylden Reed before I use it. That will be pride of place! The pouches, following the thread a few days ago, I've been searching Ebay for a pair for my watches then what do you know, old Bubba sends them to lucky ole J. This gift is truly appreciated and I'm so thankful to have such a great buddy on the other side of the pond. In fact, if he was here, I'd whap on some lippy, push my size 12s into those red pumps and squeeze into my laciest basque...just to do him a special thank you dance. TO BUBBA Jim |
