NEWB with question

Hi everyone, i just bought a 6 month old (Z Serial) Submariner two tone, box paper etc, the only problem im having is after i wear it for a day it will only keep time for about 8-10 hours before i have to reset it again, and again.

I wound it 30-40 times and wore it all day like instructed, but still, about 10 hours and it stops.

My wifes datejust sits next to mine in the box and keeps time all weekend (30+ hours)

I am interested to know if anyone has any answers my guy siad he will look at it but i have to send it off etc.

Any insight will be great, the watch is 100% never worn and bought as a gift that found its way to me for $6500
