Haze on cyclops eye

My wife has a Date Just. She was looking at the Cyclops eye and it looked hazy. I ran my finger over it and it did not feel scratched. I looked at it with a magnifying glass. It looks like something smudged it but it does not rub off with watch/crystal cleaning cloth. My question is, is their an anti reflective coating on it and is it possible it may be rubbing off some how. If it is scratched or damaged can it be polished off.
