Sunburst Dial | As Described By Rolex

I came across a very interesting post on Rolex's Instagram page describing their sunburst dial:

"The blue dial of this Rolex Datejust 41 reveals a palette of nuances ranging from blueish grey to deep navy blue, depending on the viewing angle and the amount of light. This so-called "interference colour" is created by superposing several layers of metal oxides of variable thickness using an advanced physical vapour deposition process (PVD), allowing Rolex to produce dials with unique hues."

This makes me appreciate my Dark Rhodium Oyster Perpetual 39 even more.
