not for the dinner table talk

My fellow TRFers....I pose this to you as it's not like I can just sit down at the dinner table and ask this question. I would only be met with dirty looks and rolled eyes followed up with, "more watch talk? ugh."

I am thinking of selling my 16710. Since picking up my D-blue last November, the pepsi has seen little wrist time compared to the D-blue, bluesy, and gmt2c. The explorer has seen some time, but not a lot either.

Things with the 16710 that I'm not happy with (get your sticks and stones ready to throw):

The bracelet. The bracelet cannot compare to the six digit bracelets, not at all. Also, the font is dated and not super appealing to me. A WG pepsi is not in the budget and won't be for a very long time unless I flip everything for one. As I was saying, I'm not in love with the font. It just looks too dated for me.

Things I like:

The 16710 is very uncommon. I've only seen one other in the wild, and it was an LN. The guy wearing it had no clue the bezels could be swapped out.

I love the red and blue colors.

It's nice being able to swap out the bezels, but sadly, I rarely do.

WIS types find it pretty cool...

In the end, I think I like the features of the modern day references better. Having 5 Rolex in the collection seems a bit excessive, especially since I really only wear 3 regularly in the rotation. The chase and collecting has been fun, but I think I may be over it. I'm really thinking of shrinking down to just three. I tried wearing it today, but after a while I put the D-blue back on.

I feel I'd be better off with the money sitting in the bank, or pumping the proceeds into my kid's 529 account (or for the day Rolex releases the pepsi in SS lol)....There's not much else on the market right now that interests me, so flipping wouldn't interest me.

So, like I said, not dinner time talk....What are your thoughts?
