New member introduction
Hello everyone
as a quick introduction; I intend to frequent this forum in the future actively and hope I can contribute. I have been watch obsessed the last twelve years, going through a lot of time pieces in this time... My very first good watch was a Rolex OP Date, that quickly got replaced by a classic Airking. This watch is not with me anymore, but it taught me the principles I personally admire in Rolex products: classical design, reliability, ease of maintenance. I know that many people see in the brand other things than I do, but these are the qualities that have always attracted me to Rolex. Even though often I find myself looking at non mainstream options for all aspects of my consumption, not just watches, I keep on returning to Rolex. So the only Rolex I have right now is a SD 16600 which I love. I will pick up another model tomorrow (my first 6 digit reference ever, it took me a very long time to digest the supercase...). Next to that, I own a blue Pelagos and a Grand Seiko HiBeat. And over the years, I have owned many pieces from Omega, Eterna, Girard Perregaux, AP, IWC that are now longer in my collection. By the way, I am Swiss - currently living in the US but grew up very close to the IWC factory. Will let you know how I appreciate my first six-digit sport model after I have it on my wrist. Canīt believe I have finally stepped over to the dark side... Best, Karkestra |
