Difference between a 16800 Gloss and a 16610 pre 1998?

Hi,

I am currently considering a 16800.

Ideally I wanted Matte, but I just can't find a nice example at the right price.

So as an alternative, I have started looking at a 16800 Gloss.

However, the 16610 with Tritium is more or less the same, but with 904L steel, and a better movement.

What is the benefit of going for the 16800?

And is there anything visually (other than the reference number, serial number, and clasp markings) that enable you to tell them apart?

And would it make any difference in the longer term value between them, if they were both in similar condition, with box and papers?

And before anyone mentions it, I am also looking at the 168000 - but is there any visual signal on that vs the other 2 above?

Thanks in advance for anyones help.
