AmEx Platinum Card - For 2017, worth it?

Hey all,

I have four various credit cards (one is a Morgan Stanley AmEx which is not great) and I'm looking to consolidate into two. Likely going to keep my Visa Capital One since no annual fee, and it's a very simple/straight forward cash back card.

I was thinking of dropping my other three for the Platinum AmEx card but at $550 annual fee, I was wondering if current card holders think that the benefits are worth that higher annual fee. I do travel to SFO and Seattle quite a bit so the Centurion Lounges would be nice to utilize, and the Uber credit for $200 would definitely be used.

With my Morgan Stanley AmEx I use the points just for gift cards of various retailers as gifts for friends and family (I don't look into whether it's a smart use of points or not).

Anyways - just on the fence on whether it's really worth it or maybe I'm just looking to upgrade based on the "prestige", and I should just keep my free Morgan Stanley AmEx and my Visa Capital One card. Have near 800 credit score and pay in full monthly so that's not an issue.

Thanks all
