New member help picking out my first long term rolex!

Hello everyone!

I will be purchasing my first rolex this week and after hours and hours of research I narrowed it down to 2 choices. Both choices are the same price point and in similar condition. One is a blue dial 1603 and the other is a slate gray tapestry 16220. Both of them look great but I can't decide on one or the other and could use some opinions to help me make the right choice! I also am not really sure about the difference between the 1603 and the 16220 and had a hard time finding it online (please forgive my ignorance for I am still new). I have put some pictures below of the 2 choices. This will be a watch that I keep for a long time so I want to make sure I pick wisely!

I also wanted to add both pieces are authentic and from reputable sources- the one difference is that the slate gray piece comes with box and papers as well while the blue 1603 only comes with the watch.

Thank you all for your input!
