New crown & tube for Red Submariner

Hi all, finally getting my 1680 red serviced at a Rolex dealer who does in house service. He suggests changing the crown and tube. He basically wants to insure no humidity can enter the case and finds that there can be a potential problem with the existing crown and tube. As he stated the dial is the most valuable part of the watch, and it needs to be protected at all times. He will return all old parts so that it will be original in case I ever want to sell.

Can anyone second the technicians opinion? Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks
