Servicing Rolex 1500 -- Need Some Feedback--

Long story, short I got water in my Rolex 1500 -- 1978 edition by falling into a pool while wearing it. I dropped the Watch off at a Rolex Authorized Dealer the next day to have it completely serviced and what not. This was back during the 2nd week of August, I was quoted a 6 week return time. It's now November, and I've called 2 times already, and still the watch is not ready for pick-up. Can anyone provide some thoughts on how to approach this situation, I'm becoming impatient and its now been over 11 weeks since I dropped the Watch off. Does it really take this long to service the Watch, by the way the Roelx Authorized Dealer has a Watch Serviceman at the Store.

Any input greatly appreciated, Thanks!
