1st Rolex Purchase Advice. (Update)
We'll what an eventful and fruitful day, travelled to our capital city of Cardiff in pursuit of my first choice a seadweller anniversary, if that was not going to be possible, which it became abundantly clear (5 year waiting list at Fraser Hart) then I was prepared to consider the DSSD black or my favourite out of the 2 the DSSD deep blue.
After speaking with the dealer at Fraser Hart I enquired about waiting lists for the black and blue only to be told roughly 6 weeks which I was prepared to wait. I along with my good lady attended at Watches of Switzerland and was told a story that was very similar, during my conversation with the dealer Anita, her colleague informed her that a deep blue version was available for me to try, but it was to be purchased tomorrow by someone who had bought a DSSD black whilst the blue was on order, I tried the watch on, fell in love with it, put my name on their list and left the store content with what I was going to eventually purchase. My wife and I went to have a coffee and as we were talking about the watch my mobile rang and Anita the dealer asked me if I was in a position to return to the shop, we drank our coffee, returned to the shop to find out from Anita that the prospective buyers had declined to purchase the deep blue, with clearance from the store manager the watch was available to me if I wanted. Needless to say I am now the very very proud owner of my first Rolex a DSSD Deep Blue and at RRP. Richard |
